THE WAAY

Why is THE WAAY free?

Because recovery should never depend on what is in your wallet. THE WAAY is free forever, with no tiers and no exceptions. That is a promise built into the project, not a launch offer that will change later.

There is nothing to unlock and nothing to upgrade. Every stage and every practice on this site is open to everyone.

Will you ever charge for it, or add a "premium" level?

No. If THE WAAY ever grows into an app or a printed workbook, the recovery path itself stays free. No ads, no paywalls, no subscriptions, no selling your information.

Do I need an account?

No. You can read every page on this site without signing up, logging in, or giving your name or email.

What do you know about me when I read this site?

You do not have to tell us anything. There is no sign-up form and no account. We do not ask about your history, your substances, or your story.

The notebook practices on The Path are meant to be done on paper or somewhere private that belongs to you. Nothing you write there comes to us.

Is this a treatment program?

No. THE WAAY is not medical care, therapy, or counseling, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. It is a companion you can use alongside treatment, counseling, a doctor, or a recovery fellowship. If you need help now, go to Get Help, call or text 988, call the SAMHSA National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357, or call 911 in an emergency.

Do I have to be religious?

No. Some of the practices mention prayer or spirit because many people find strength there. If that is not you, use silence, nature, music, or time with people instead. The path works the same way.

I relapsed. Do I start over?

You do not go back to zero. What you learned is still yours. Go back to the Pause on The Path, write down what happened without shaming yourself, reach out to one person today, and keep going. If you used something that could be dangerous, get medical help first.

Can I use this with AA, NA, or SMART Recovery?

Yes. Many people do. THE WAAY is not a replacement for a recovery fellowship and is not affiliated with any of them.

How does THE WAAY relate to Severything?

THE WAAY is the free recovery path within Severything, whose mission is protecting children by healing adults.

Can I share this with someone?

Please do. Send them the link. It is free for them too.
